Nicki Minaj has fired back at her ex who claimed the “Moment For Life” hit-maker values her career more than their 14-year-old relationship. To top it all, he has covered his “Nicki Minaj-inspired tattoos” on his chest just days after their split.
Nicki Minaj & ex beau Safaree Samuels According to sources close to the former couple, Nicki ended things with Safaree Samuels because he became uncontrollably jealous of her success … ‘success he needed for himself’. Note that he’s also her backup singer, hype man and personal assistant.
According to TMZ, Nicki and Safaree had an arrangement and Safaree was getting sick of being in the background and had become increasingly hostile – an emotion she reciprocated.
Other reports state that the final blow came when Safaree never showed up recently to one of Nicki’s shows, leaving her stranded and scrambling for a hype man. She confronted him and he went crazy … and she dumped him!
Reacting to that, Safaree showed up in public earlier this week with several of his Nicki tats covered up… just like another black brother – Nick Cannon – did!
