Kris Jenner Addresses Rumor That Bruce Is Dating Her BFF

                                                         
If Bruce Jenner really is dating Kris's best friend, his soon-to-be ex-wife is playing it cool about the whole thing.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriarch appeared on the Today show Monday to promote her new cookbook, but the 58-year-old momager also faced questions from Hoda Kotb about Bruce, including whether he's — gasp! — dating her BFF.

"I just want him to be happy," the In the Kitchen With Kris author replied when asked about the reported new romance with Ronda Kamihira, who is Kris's long-time pal and former assistant. "I don't care who he goes out with and I don't know who he's dating. He doesn't like check in with me and give me a play-by-play. But it's his life and you just want the guy to be happy. He's still the father of two of my children, so we're friends.

While she kept it vague about Bruce's dating life, Kris had a firm answer when asked about those lingering tabloid tales that the former Olympian is undergoing a gender transition into a woman.

"It's silly," she said flatly. "They've been saying that since the '70s, so you'd think he'd be cooked by now… [Tabloids] just keep regurgitating the same old stuff."

As for leaving him out of her cookbook dedication, Kris replied, "I did it for the kids this time, and Bruce and I were getting a divorce. He's a great guy, but I just did it for the kids and the grandkids."

Pressed for more about the divorce, Kris said, "At some point in your life you have to make a decision to do what's right for your family and the kids," she said of their split, which initially took place in June 2013 and was formalized last month when she filed for divorce. "We decided to be grown-ups and we decided we're just better apart than we are together, but we're still really good friends. So you just have to say, 'We're going to do this the way that is best for everybody' — and everybody is really comfortable with it."

On Friday, People exclusively reported that Bruce was dating Kamihira, who accompanied him to an Elton John concert earlier this month. A source told the mag, "Kris is devastated. This was her former assistant and best friend of 20 years." However, soon after, E! News, home to all things Kardashian, said not to believe the hype. "Ronda is one of Bruce's longtime best friends in the world," an insider explained. "They are definitely not dating. Trust me, anyone suggesting that is barking up the wrong tree."

Whether it's true or not — we're waiting for PDA pix of the fabulously coiffed Bruce and his rumored love — Kris and Bruce both seem quite happy to have moved on.
