Health Minister, Professor Chukwu Wednesday disclosed that the status of Ebola Virus in the country remains two patients who are receiving treatment.
One of the patients is in Lagos while the other is in Port Harcourt.
According to him, since the outbreak of the deadly disease in the country, a total of 18 persons were infected, out of which 14 were in Lagos and 4 in Port Harcourt.

He noted that 8 patients had been successfully treated and discharged, while 7 persons including the Liberian-American had so far died of the disease.
Out of the 361 persons that were under surveillance in Lagos, he added that only 41 are still under surveillance, 320 under surveillance had been discharged in Lagos.
In Port Harcourt, Chukwu said, 255 persons are under surveillance, noting that the corpse of the medical doctor who died in Port Harcourt had been buried after de-contamination.
On the fate of the Staff of the Economic Community of West African State (ECOWAS) who evaded surveillance and traveled to Port Harcourt where he infected a doctor, the minister explained that government was working on three options to prevent a repeat.
