The minister of aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka, has been conferred with the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) award by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on August 21, 2014.
The president who was represented by the vice president, Namadi Sambo, said recipients are being recognised for their productivity and commitment towards nation building.
He charged them to continue to give their best for the growth and development of the country.
The event which was chaired by the minister of labour, Chief Emeka Nwogu, also witnessed the conferment of the award to other notable Nigerians who have made significant contributions to the development of the country, in their various fields of endeavour.
Chidoka was recognized, with this award, because of the significant improvement he brought to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) where he served as the corp marshal.
