                Nuhu-Ribadu2
A younger brother of Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Adamawa State.

Mallam Sani Ribadu was kidnapped at his farm, located along Fufore, about 15 kilometres to Yola, while observing a routine inspection on Sunday, reports Vanguard, citing a source.

Although, the kidnappers are yet to make contact with the Ribadu family, the abduction is suspected to be related to politics, as Mallam Sani is seen as integral to the political ambition of the former EFCC chairman. Sani is also a former chairman of Yola South Local Government Area and a former member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly.

“The ex-LGA chairman was abducted and his car left intact on the farm. We cannot locate his whereabouts,” a source told newsmen, adding that “apart from alerting the police, a search team has been put in place.”
“We are suspecting that he might have been targeted. But it is too early to draw any conclusion.”
The Special Assistant on Media to Nuhu Ribadu, Mallam Abdulazeez Abdulazeez confirmed the abduction.
“It is true that some gunmen kidnapped Oga’s brother or cousin to put it in better perspective,” he said.
